Why record the gold price on every purchase
A piece's cost depends on the metal price on the day you bought it. If you only keep the cost, you lose the reference for knowing whether you bought well. Joyeros keeps the metal price of every purchase so you can compare it with today's spot price.
If you cancel a purchase you've already received, Joyeros removes the stock it brought in. And if those goods have already been sold, the purchase can't be cancelled, so your inventory never ends up inconsistent.
