Joyeros vs Shopify

Joyeros vs Shopify: an online store or a system for your jewelry store?

Shopify is the best-known platform for selling online, with a point of sale for physical stores. Joyeros starts from the other side: your jewelry store's inventory, counter and gold, with an online store connected to them.

In short

  • Your business lives at the counter and the online store complements it.
  • You need weight, karat and today's gold price without installing apps.

Shopify suits you if…

What changes with Joyeros

The counter first, the online store connected.

  • Jewelry inventory without apps

In Shopify, weight and karat are handled with variants, metafields or third-party apps. In Joyeros they come with every piece, along with its pure metal content.

  • The gold price, on your dashboard

Joyeros brings in the gold, silver and platinum quotes and works out the metal value of your inventory. Every purchase keeps that day's gold price.

  • A simpler bill

Shopify charges its plan, payment fees and, for advanced in-store selling, POS Pro per location. Joyeros has a free plan to start and paid plans with no per-location add-ons.

How to switch

From Shopify to Joyeros, step by step.

  1. 1

Export your Shopify products to a CSV file.

  2. 2

Add each piece's metal, karat and weight.

  3. 3

Import the file into your Joyeros inventory.

  4. 4

Publish your online store and sell at the counter from the same inventory.

When each one fits

As an online store, Shopify goes further: it takes cards, OXXO and other methods, connects to carriers and has thousands of apps. The Joyeros online store is simpler: it shows your pieces with your brand, takes orders and payment is arranged by transfer, in cash or on delivery.

As a system for a jewelry store, Joyeros goes further: inventory by weight and karat, valuation at today's gold price, supplier purchases with the metal price, reports and a team with roles. If your business lives at the counter, Joyeros gives you that without assembling apps.

Frequently asked questions

Does the Joyeros online store take card payments?

Not yet. Your customers place their order online and pay by transfer, in cash on pickup or delivery, or by card on pickup, depending on what you turn on.

Can I use Joyeros and Shopify together?

Joyeros doesn't connect to Shopify. If you use both, you'd keep each one's inventory separately.

Does Joyeros issue CFDI invoices?

No. Neither Joyeros nor Shopify issues CFDI on its own: in Shopify you add an app, and with Joyeros you use your invoicing system.

Can I use my own domain with Joyeros?

Yes. Your online store has its own address and, depending on your plan, you can connect your own domain.
